Windows 10: My computer is showing completely the wrong location - I live in New Zealand and it's...

I've gone into the windows settings, tried turning all the location settings off and on, tried setting a default location as the correct one, tried clearing location history, tried going into Services.msc to change Geolocation to Automatic, run a virus scan a few times in case it was someone trying to spoof my location, tried changing the location settings in my browser... Can someone at Microsoft please just try the following steps...

• Click "Sign up to Microsoft Developer Account
• Login with Microsoft Account
• Choose my Location (New Zealand)
• Choose type of account (Company)
• Put in my contact Details
• Put in Company Approver Details
• Click next and then you'll get the error message (Sorry, something went wrong. Please try again later.)

I am going round and round without getting anywhere, NO ONE THAT SETS THEIR COUNTRY TO NEW ZEALAND WILL BE ABLE TO OPEN AN ACCOUNT

 

my pc location is showing the wrong location

I have the same issue. it lists our location at our old house we left 3 months ago.

it's fine using our phones (which have internal GPS), but all our PC's are showing the wrong location.

we have 1 on windows 10 and 1 on windows 11, both are wrong.

they are wrong in edge and chrome.

they are wrong in the weather apps and anything which uses the location.

I have followed the common steps of setting the location, of refreshing dns, or ip, I've changed all entries to location I can find.

even on websites to try to find a local branch, it suggests them near our old house.

Have just spent an hour on the phone with our ISP (EE) who have nothing more to suggest!

I am posting this as a last resort to get some help, I have already contacted MS Support but we are just going around and around in circle because they are not listening to our issue.

We are unable to open a Microsoft Developer Account when the
location is set to New Zealand, I have tried various different details and credentials and have found that is the issue.
Opening one with my location set to Australia works.

The steps below to reproduce are:

• Click "Sign up to Microsoft Developer Account
• Login with Microsoft Account
• Choose my Location (New Zealand)
• Choose type of account (Company)
• Put in my contact Details
• Put in Company Approver Details
• Click next and then I get the error message (Sorry, something went wrong. Please try again later.)

Could someone please assist me with this? The standard MS Technical Support are unable to help me. The error details are as below:

We have had a Support Ticket open for weeks now but can't seem to convey that there is a serious issue here, presumably no one in New Zealand are able to open an account. This is unacceptable.
