Windows 10: My computer is stuck in airplane mode at the log in screen

Hello, I recently built a new computer with an old HDD. I'm stuck on the login screen because my computer is stuck in airplane mode at the log in screen. I tried logging in, but I don't remember my microsoft password from 4 years ago when I originally bought the HDD. I have updated my password since, but since it's stuck in airplane mode, it can't connect to the internet to realize my new password, it's still asking for the 4 year old one. I've tried booting it in safe mode, changing system settings, etc, but the computer will allow me to do absolutely nothing until I sign in so it knows I'm t

problem was:

pc cant connect to wifi cos airplane mode randomly turned on by itself

you can google to see why computer does that - microsoft seems to have never fixed this

fixed this by turning off something in services (this goes to show how many services are bad and should be off by default, again a long-standing microsoft problem that they've never made better)


new problem:

the wifi icon on botton left changed to the airplane mode icon

and when old problem was fixed, airplane mode icon is stuck like that

I suggest you to follow the steps to disable the Airplane mode.

Step 1: Open Settings, and select or tap on the
Network & Internet icon.

Step 2. Select or tap on Airplane mode on the left side to turn
on or off Airplane mode on the right side.

I also suggest you to run the Internet Connections troubleshooter and check

• Type Troubleshooting in the search box
  and Hit Enter.
• Click View all from the left pane and select Network and Internet and select the Internet connections \Network adapter troubleshooter and follow the on-screen instructions.
