Windows 10: My computer is too soow

I have a computer that isn't even 3 years old, but is too slow. In the lockscreen when I press the spacebar or enter to go in the password screen it takes at least 2 minutes to do that in the blurred wallpaper. When I open the start it takes 20 seconds every time and sometimes the system task takes almost everything. Every app stops responding. (I don't even want to tell a videogame experience like minecraft: a series of images.) Google chrome is almost impossible to use and I can't open the notification thing. How can I solve this? It's surely something corrupted.

Thank you john for all of your help i decided to get the usb my computer came with and factory reset it i didnt have anything that personal or valueable so its ok thanks for the help though i appreciate it

is it possible to hand build a motherboard?

Might I suggest you simply build a computer, making notes and taking pictures step by step. Most people (probably including your teacher) have no idea even where to start building a computer. You'll do fine, and if you get stuck we're here to help ya out! *Toast :toast:
