    My computer is unable to tell me what is taking up more than half of my storage space 300+...


    The title explains most of the story - but is it even possible that I could have 300 GB of bloatware? I tallied up how much space all my of programs take up and it added to around 170 GB~, which does not explain where the rest has gone to of the total 450 GB of stuff I have.I am using an HP ENVY x360 2-in-1 Laptop 15-ey0xxx. Any help is appreciated!

    Should my system files really take up 300 gigs worth of space?

    Hi, it's my first post and all so I'm just going to make this short. Should my system files really take up 300 gigs worth of space? I downloaded windows 10 through bootcamp on my mac through USB. I dedicated about half of my computer hard drive space to Windows (about 450ish gigs). But in actuality, I only have about 150 gigs because my system files take up a majority of the storage. I'm assuming that this isn't supposed to happen (but it would really suck if it did)

    Surface Pro 3 storage space is low. Storage settings say that Apps and Games is using 17.5 GB but when I add up the space from the list of apps it is only 5.7 GB. What is taking up up the other ~12 GB and how do I free up space?

    Storage Spaces not only increase storage over time as you add drivers to your PC, it will also help you in protecting your data from drive failures. To isolate your concern, we'd like to know if you were getting any error messages when trying
    to connect the external drive to your new PC. Also, can you tell us what troubleshooting steps have you tried so far?

    In the meantime, we suggest that you run the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter to perform a diagnostic process on your system that will check and fix issues related to Storage Spaces. To do this, please follow the steps below:

    • Type troubleshooting in the Search bar, then press
      Enter.
    • Click View all from the left pane.
    • Locate and click Hardware and Devices to run the troubleshooter then follow the next steps.
