Windows 10: My computer keeps saying “Locking” when playing the new Microsoft Flight Simulator!

For some reason, my computer always wants to lock every 30 minutes in the new Flight Simulator. The screen with the word “locking” appears for a second or two and my laptop automatically goes into sleep mode. I tried restarting and shutting down, but to no avail. I tried disabling unattended sleep timeout, it won’t work. Could you help me?

Microsoft Flight Simulator issue after Windows 10 Upgrade

Thank you for contacting Microsoft Community.



I suggest you to completely uninstall Microsoft Flight Simulator and check.

Refer the steps below to uninstall.

• Press “Windows key + X”, select Control panel.
• Open programs and features.
• In the list of installed programs, select Microsoft Flight Simulator, and then click
  Remove.

Note: If you have earlier versions of Flight Simulator in the list of installed programs, you will have to remove them in addition to Flight Simulator.



Reinstall the Flight Simulator.

• What is the current build of Windows 10 you are using on your computer? You can refer this article to
  
  Check for the operating system information in Windows 10.
  
• Was there any change on your computer, prior to which you did not face this issue?
  
• Are you using Flight simulator or Flight simulator X?
  
• Have you tried uninstalling and re-installing the application?
  

If the issue is with Flight Simulator X, I would suggest you to refer the article on

Activation message after you play Flight Simulator X for 30 minutes and check if it works for you.
