Windows 10: My Computer of about 4 years has recently started to freeze randomly while I use it to play...

I'm unsure of whether or not it's an operating system based problem but it may be considering that when I originally downloaded Windows 11 my computer would blue screen while it was being used. I'm using an RX 540 with an AMD Ryzen 2300x CPU. I'm running the latest version of AMD Adrenaline Edition. I've already tried multiple times updating drivers and running troubleshooters on my computer with no success to fixing this problem.If it helps this is a prebuilt computer from 2019.

Windows 10 freezes randomly

I had already tried turning off fast startup, to no avail.
Will look at the list you provided, thanks. Hard to do when computer freezes on the Windows loading screen though. *Biggrin

Computer Freezing Randomly

I have been having random freezes on my computer, whenever I am playing a game or just watching youtube it can just randomly freeze. This started semi-recently and I still don't know the issue. I have had two different bluescreens, One was Clock_watchdog_timeout ERROR and the other was DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION. I have already tried looking these issues up and trying to fix them but I might have not done them correctly or just did not understand it. I also have tried checking my hardware like my ram and CPU with friends who know about computers but they also don't know whats the issue. The freezing is also inconsistent. It sometimes randomly freezes at the start of me turning on my PC and other times it freezes after hours of playing. When it does freeze it does not bluescreen, it has only done it 3 times so far. I also have tried updating/changing my drivers but that did not work.

Hey TPU, i give you a challenge. Lately my computer has been freezing for no reason (or so i think) I have noticed that it happens mostly when im playing CounterStrikeSource and Left 4 Dead 2. Just to let you know, its not freezing that happens for a couple of seconds, its a full on, "your computer needs to be restarted" type of freezing.

XFX 4890 XT @900/1000
AMD X4 II @ 3 Ghz
4 corsair 800mhz DDR2 Ram


Any suggestions or input?
