My computer repeatedly shuts down and crashes all programs occasionally and I think I know why, but I’m not sure.

I was looking online for solutions and found that old drivers often cause this, is it possible for a monitors driver to be the source of the issue?

    It’s driver date is 4/21/09 version 1.0.0.0

Is it possible or is it something else?

  2. My computer keeps doing this and I need to know how to solve it

Thanks for providing the results after you have completed the troubleshooting steps we suggested. Since the issue is still occurring, we need to confirm a few more details by asking the questions below so that we can proceed to the next steps to resolve
    your concern:

    • We would like to confirm when does your computer screen become fuzzy or bright, does this happen after you sign into your computer or it immediately occurs once the computer has finished booting and you get to the sign in screen?
    • If you're still able to sign into your computer before the issues occur, we would like to confirm if there are any specific actions that trigger the screen to become unresponsive and fuzzy?
    • Also, based on the version and build number of the Windows 10 installation you have on your computer, we would like to confirm if you have verified if there are any pending updates that need to be installed?

As recommendation, we suggest that you connect your computer to an external display if possible so that we can further isolate the issue if it is caused by display drivers that need to be updated or hardware settings that we need to update.

    Regards.

    Computer Shuts Down

    Hi Austin,

If your computer shuts down unexpectedly when the battery is at 50%, it is possible that the battery is defective or that the drivers of the battery is incompatible with Windows 10 version 1709. For us to isolate the issue about shutting down when the battery
is at 50%, kindly respond to the questions below:

    • Is your computer new? Or, is it an old computer upgraded to Windows 10?
    • What is the make and model of your computer?
    • Have you checked if the driver for your battery is updated? If not, kindly do so.
    • What troubleshooting steps have you done? This is for us to know and to avoid any duplication of efforts on your end.

We look forward to your response.
