    My computer randomly shuts off the monitors after a random amount of time


    After using the computer for a few minutes it turns off the monitors and becomes unresponsive, yet the computer itself stays on. Not too sure what to do. I've never had the problem before I moved a few states away

    Random shut down and restart??

    Computer: Intel (R) Pentium (R) Dual cpu
    E220@2.406hz
    2.42 GHZ, 2.00 GB of RAM
    Windows xp

    Ever since I replaced the fan (with heat sink) the computer has randomly shut down and then restarted, at first during streaming, and now, will shut down and restart anytime. I tried to replace the graphics card to no avail. *Confused My computer randomly shuts off the monitors after a random amount of time :confused:*Mad My computer randomly shuts off the monitors after a random amount of time :mad:

    One suggestion was to replace the RAM.

    Any suggestions on how to repair my computer?

    Computer Shuts Down Randomly

    Are you sure it's not just a display/graphics-related issue? I.e. could Windows still be running otherwise.. you could try leaving Cortana on to respond to voice, and check if there's any response.

    Is your BIOS up to date?

    Lots more if you search for

    Try leaving it in Safe Mode for 'long enough'. If it still happens randomly most likely to be a hardware issue.

    Some other basic things:
    Enable and Disable Driver Verifier in Windows 10
    MemTest86+ - Test RAM
    HD Tune (free) Health and Error scan tabs - to check your disk

    using windows 10.

    my computer will shut down own it's own at random times. most of the time I have to turn off the power before I can reboot

    these are the messages I cot this time it did it
