Windows 10: My computer reset itself, and now half of my apps are gone.

What you see below is what my windows home screen looks like now. Once filled with about 60 shortcuts, nearly every single one disappearing. Except only a random bunch. I have reset my computer 3 times, no change. I have left my computer off over night, still the same result. I have many games, so I go into file explorer to see if those were completely removed, thankfully no, the shortcuts just got deleted. But when I search for the game/software in the windows search bar you can see to the bottom left, it will not let me open them. So I go to their file location and click on the exe, still do

Why did the startup window get cleared?

I didn't missed any step, the list was gone and gone , even after using lot of programs the programs were not listed in that list.

 

Photo app is gone

@Lenoveo, it's actually named 'Photos' with an 's'. Is it really missing, or is it just the Tile on Start that's gone? Try typing photos in the Cortana/Search box next to Start and see if it finds it. If it does appear in the list you can right-click on it and 'Pin to Start' (or the taskbar). If it doesn't, try Brink's 'App reset' tutorial.

Thank you john for all of your help i decided to get the usb my computer came with and factory reset it i didnt have anything that personal or valueable so its ok thanks for the help though i appreciate it
