    My computer screen is half darker than the other.


    Please help it is quite annoying that the screen of my pc is slightly darker on the left side. thanks for any reply

    Screen gets darker shortly after startup

    When my computer starts up after being shut down or restarted, shortly after the login screen appears the screen will suddenly get darker. I have tried the following to fix it already without success:

    • I have updated my video card drivers.
    • I have updated the monitor drivers and the software for my monitor.
    • Through my monitor's software, I have turned off any automatic brightness adjusting features. (I've also done this through the options on the monitor itself.)
    • I have turned off adaptive brightness for Windows.
    This has been going on for many months, maybe even a year. Any other suggestions would be appreciated. I am getting into a field where I will need to do color-sensitive work on this computer, so this needs to be fixed. Let me know any information you need
    about the computer and monitor and I'll provide it.

    BIGGER, DARKER FONTS

    Hola, hello, hi everyone... My first time here so a bit rough around the edges.

    I need bigger, darker fonts. I don't use magnifier because it is too distracting and cumbersome to use.

    I am willing to use custom scaling but the introductory paragraph on the custom scaling screen informs us it is not recommended, warning us about all sorts of (seemingly) insurmountable nightmarish problems we are likely to encounter.Right
    now have set custom scaling at 100. Barely legible. Perhaps if it were darker it would work for me.

    I have not attempted a larger custom scaling setting (e.g., 125 or 150) for fear of precipitating doomsday as I interpret the warning mentioned above.

    My specific questions/remarks are:

    • Is there a way to get bigger, darker font without altering anything else like we were able to do on Windows 8?
    • Does custom scaling alter the way things are displayed when using browsers like Google Chrome and Firefox?
    • Any ideas, comments, suggestions, alternatives, or any whatevers will be greatly appreciated.

    My computer screen is half darker than the other.

    Screen is darker

    Earlier today I turned on eye protection somewhere and now my screen is darker and I don't like it. Does anyone know where I did this? I have searched everywhere I know but I'm not a computer whiz by any means. Thanks!
