My computer seems to be disconnected or hidden from the rest of my network

    Hi,

I have 2 computers and on both of them I want to share a hard drive to my network so I can play media on my smart TV without using a USB.

Now one computer connected easily just by enabling "share this folder" in the Advanced sharing settings. The other one however is having some issues. I've tried many online guides how to troubleshoot this issue by enabling different settings and enabling certain services and features and I just can't get it to work.

I would greatly appreciate any help regarding this issue.

    :)

  2. keeps disconnecting from internet and my secure home wifi network then showing an open hidden network

over the past week or so my computer keeps disconnecting from my secure home password protected wifi network and my eset security popup tells me I am then connected linked to an unsecured network and when I go to the available network list to see whats going
on and reconnect it shows a hidden open network..

Its very frustrating and happens in the middle of using the computer on the internet

  3. Delete "hidden network"

    Hi,

Deleting or Blocking available networks can only be done using Command Prompt. Follow the steps below:

    • Open Command Prompt.
    • Type netsh wlan add filter permission=block ssid="WLAN name"
networtype=infrastructure (Replace WLAN name with "hidden network" or the name of the wireless network you want to block) and press
      Enter.
    • Close Command Prompt.
To remove/delete the network from the block list. Replace "add" with "delete" on the command in step two.

    Looking forward to your response.
