Windows 10: My computer shows that when I restart it say press ESC Button to reboot...

You can reset your password following the next steps:

• Reboot your computer / Turn your computer on.
• Hold down the Shift key at the start of the boot process to enable the GNU GRUB boot menu (if it does not show)
• Press ESC at the GNU GRUB prompt.
• Press e for edit.
• Use the Arrow keys to highlight the line that begins with kernel and press the e key.
• Go to the very end of the line and add rw init=/bin/bash
• Press Enter and then press b to boot your system.
• Your system will boot up to a passwordless root shell.
• Type in passwd yourusername
• Set your new password.
• Restart your system.

 

Random restarts

when you start the computer up press F8 repeatedly until you get a list of how to start windows, choose do not automatically restart on system failure. if your getting bsod's list what your getting here so we can further help you. IF the system is not getting bsod's and still restarting as you say then i would look into getting a line conditioner for your computer as you might be having power issues.

 

No windows button in windows 10.

I suggest you to run Powershell command for Taskbar and Start button not working and check:

Steps to run Powershell command:

• 
  Press CTRL+Shift+ESC, to open the
  Task manager.
  
• 
  Click File > Run New Task.
  
• 
  Make sure you have a check mark beside “Create this task with administrative privileges”
  
• 
  Type Powershell.
  
• 
  Type the following in the Powershell prompt:
  

• $manifest = (Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.WindowsStore).InstallLocation + '\AppxManifest.xml'; Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register $manifest
  

6. Close the Powershell window.

7. Reboot/Restart the computer.
