Windows 10: My computer sometimes randomly freezes and has trouble shutting down.

It's been doing this for the past couple of months. I don't understand why though. When I make the firmware check for problems with the hardware it insists that there are no problems. I've even tried reinstalling windows and not even that worked. It feels like nothing I try really works and it just does what it does for no reason.And when I say "has trouble shutting down" what I mean by that is that when I try to turn it off the cpu fan just runs loudly and will continue to seemingly endless until I hold down the power button. When I turn it back on sometimes the computer will work fine but a

I had already tried turning off fast startup, to no avail.
Will look at the list you provided, thanks. Hard to do when computer freezes on the Windows loading screen though. *Biggrin

Computer shuts down or freezes up

I have a HP Pavilion and in the last few months I've had trouble with my computer shutting down randomly or freezing up. I reset it and keep my files, but it hasn't helped. Does anyone know what's wrong? Thanks
