My computer was bought four years ago how can I upgade mother board to install windows 11 or I have to switch to new pc. I have a The Intel Core i5-6400T CPU

Change of mother board

Hi everyone.

I have an old Dell laptop whose mother board passed away a few years ago. I recently got a replacement mother board and fixed my old computer myself. I was amazed though, that everytime I turn my computer on I ger anotice from Microsoft in person saying
that my windows copy is stolen or forged. This is a great embracement since I am a scientist and can no longer use my private computer this way. Who steals Windows7 copies in 2018? I bought my computer with a Windows licence and find it extremely arrogant
that someone lights my screen with false acusements. Has anybody litigated against Microsoft on a similar issue? After all I paid for my computer and Dell who sold me the computer payed Microsoft for the licence. I would really like to get some solid advice
on this issue and also help others avoid this unloyal treatment from microsoft.

 

Replacing Mother Board

I need to replace my mother board. I have purchased the identical replacement. I want replace the mother board and use the same old Processor. Processor is i7 6700K and the motherboard is ASUS Z170. Is it possible to replace the Mother board without re installing
the Windows and software.

I have a question regarding mother board upgrade, do i have to reinstall windows if i upgrade my mother board MSI b250m pro-vh to a motherboard that support 8th and 9th gen motherboard?
