Windows 10: My computer while browsing firefox randomly had the screen go black and the fans started...

HelloI got a new computer and it has been working fine for the past few days except today the screen suddenly goes black and the fans go to 100% speed and are very loud, I cannot control anything and pressing my mouse and keyboard do nothing so I am forced to hold the power button to shut it off.This has happened twice now, the first time I had left the pc locked for about 20 minutes and I came back to it like this and the second I was browsing firefox and it suddenly went black and spinning at max speedHere is a link to the event viewer just before the crash Fan_Crash_events.csvVideo of the P

Computer randomly has black screen and restarts

Taco this could be software also. Before you get all crazy, do as Erocker suggested. Find out the error in the Event Viewer. Look for the faulting module and the error code itself. Also check the reliability monitor. At the bottom it will have "View all Error Reports". Post a screen of whats in there if anything.

This could be a simple as a bad driver install.

ALSO have you downloaded or installed anything lately? STAY OUT OF THE DAMN BIOS UNTIL WE KNOW THE ERROR! lol. I know you. Baby steps boy, baby steps.

 

Screen Randomly Goes Black, Fans Max Out - PC Requires Power Cycle to Recover

I am experiencing a critical issue with my Maingear PC, which I hope you can assist me in resolving. My PC's screen randomly goes black, and the fans ramp up to the highest speed. I can only restore the PC to a working state by performing a power cycle.

PC Specifications:

• Processor: AMD Ryzen 9 7950X (16 cores, 4.5 GHz, Boosts to 5.7 GHz)
  
• Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090
  
• Cooling: MAINGEAR EPIC RGB 360 AiO Liquid Cooler
  
• Motherboard: ASUS ROG Crosshair X670E Hero
  
• Memory: 64GB FURY Beast RGB DDR5 6000MHz (2x32GB)
  
• Power Supply: MAINGEAR 1000W Ignition
  
• Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11 Pro
  
• M.2 NVMe SSD: 1TB Kingston FURY Renegade PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 SSD
  

Troubleshooting Steps Taken:

1. Enabled and disabled XMP memory in the BIOS.
   
2. Reinstalled the graphics card drivers.
   
3. Updated the BIOS firmware.
   
4. Verified that RAM modules are installed correctly.
   
5. Ran the System File Checker (sfc /scannow) to detect file corruption.
   

Unfortunately, these steps have not resolved the issue, and I am still experiencing the black screen and high fan speed symptoms.

I would appreciate any assistance or guidance you can provide to help resolve this issue.

 

Screen goes blue / black on start of atitool

i tried 0.26 and the new beta but its the same... if i start atitool the screen immidiately goes blue or black and i have to reboot... the computer doesnt really hang but the screen seems to be lost.
any suggestions? i dont have any other programs running, i dont even want to OC my card i just want to have control over the fan speed, i have a x1800xt btw.
