Windows 10: My computer's microphone works with system applications but no other application

Hi, guys, I have a Dell Inspiron 5620 I7 that I got back in 2022. I installed Microsoft without a product key. Recently, for the past few weeks, my microphone has stopped working with any non-system apps. If I test the microphone in the settings section, the bar goes up and down. If I use the sound recorder and record my voice, it gets recorded. But if I use WhatsApp or Google Meet or the likes, my sound doesn't transmit. All permissions are enabled. Infact, I can see that that Google "accessed" my microphone I can see the time but still no sound input. I've tried restarting, updating the dr

Application is using the microphone though default device is off

Since upgrade to 1903 I noticed the microphone icon is on in the taskbar. The default device mic (the webcam) is off. Skype is off too.
Note that select icon that appear on Taskbar, camera, mic and skype are off. In previous version mic icon never showed up with this settings.
Clicking on taskbar icon suggest that one application is using the mic. Thumbnail attached. Is this a new feature or a bug?

Worked out what caused the icon to show. I disabled all sound apps but my camera microphone from recording, on control panel settings. No more Icon on taskbar telling me that one application is using the microphone.

 

Application to test CPU

I`m looking for an application to test if my CPU is working properly. Any suggestions, guys? *Smile

Okay, after trying the above steps the situation is that:

The inbuilt microphone (Stereo Mix and Microphone Array) does not work on Google Meet or any other application. The wired headphones are working now on every application. The inbuilt microphone (when input is selected as Microphone array) is working with Cortana.
