i have unchecked the wifi adaptor button that alowes it to get turned off when it needs to save power and i have also done a network reset

WI FI disconnect after few minutes

Hi Team,

I am using DELL VOSTRO 2520 with WINDOWNS 10.

I received update for windows, after updating windows my laptop get disconnected from WI-FI after few minute, I have to troubleshoot problem in every 10min. One time it show as NO GATEWAY.

Wi-Fi connection stops working a few minutes after connecting

Got a strange issue with the Wi-Fi connection on Win10, and I'm not sure what else to try.

Symptoms:

• After connecting to the Wi-Fi, it works normally for a minute or so, but then stops working.
  
• It doesn't disconnect, but accessing any site returns a ERR_CONNECTION_CLOSED error.
  
• If I disconnect and connect again, it works for a minute and then stops again.
  
• Strangely, ping still works (e.g. "ping www.google.com")
  

Things I've tried:

• Everything on this page, including "Network Reset".
  
• Factory reset the Wi-Fi router.
  
• Update Wi-Fi adapter drivers.
  
• Using a USB Wi-Fi adapter with a big antenna instead of the Wi-Fi module on the motherboard: same issue.
  
• Using a VPN: same issue.
  
• Connecting my phone to the Wi-Fi and then creating a Wi-Fi hotspot and then connecting to that hotspot: works!
  
• Other devices connect to the same Wi-Fi without issues,
  

All of this lead me to believe that Windows decided not to work with that specific Wi-Fi for some reason.

Also this started happening for when I was using Visual Studio Code connected to WSL, but I'm not sure if it's related. `wsl --shutdown` doesn't help.

Any ideas of what else I could try? (besides reinstalling Windows from scratch...)

 

How to stop computer from connection and disconnecting from Wi-Fi?

I bought a Wi-Fi adaptor for my old Pc (windows 10-64 bit). It’s a TL-WN725N. It was working fine at first. However after a few days there’s been a cycle. It will connect and disconnect to the Wi-Fi after a couple of minutes. The router and Wi-Fi are working fine so I know the problem lies in the computer. What can I do to fix it?
