Windows 10: My copy of windows is stuck on my old SSD whatever i do i cant seem to install windows 11...

Hi i have a bizarre problem i have an old windows 8 install that got upgraded through the years and now its on windows 11 but my SSD is only 120 GB and is starting to show age so u bought a new one. but when i try installing the OS with the windows 8 key it refuses to activate but when i reinstall back on the old SSD it does. the windows 8 key works during install where you can chose option to skip adding a key.what i tried so far install on old SSD login with my MS account verify it saying Activated with a digital key on the MS account reinstall on new SSD make local account because i don't

Replacing old hard drive, need way to copy Windows installation across

Hey Guys,
What would be the best way of copying/imaging the entire contents of an old system drive over to a replacement hard disk for the same machine? I need to copy the Windows installations and all other data to the new drive, and then format the old drive to use as a backup.

Any suggestions? *Smile

 

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
