Windows 10: my cortana is reading my emails

cortana read out my email to my friends and asked if i wanted to have reminder that i was going to asda with my freinds

this was disterbing to me because i had not told her about my emails so please tell mewhat to do

I couldn't find a way to applaud so I am replying to your message. Jurgen's response sounds like it was automatically generated by a type-writer operated by another type-writer. It is quite obvious that you are asking "whether or not Cortana can read emails
aloud?" to which any person with an elementary school level of English grammar knowledge can answer with a choice from the list of "yes" "no" or "I don't know."

Brilliant Jurgen, brilliant indeed. Checking the settings never occurred to us. And yes, the question was "where can I send suggestions to Cortana development team."

Funny enough, I asked Cortana "Hey Cortana, can you read emails?" she said

"I couldn't put that on my resume. I could find you the answer to a math problem, though"

All in all, Cortana has been more helpful in answering your question than Jurgen.

Cortana / Windows 10 seems to be reading my email without my permission

When I reinstalled Windows 10 recently, I was careful to disable all the options for Cortana. I removed it from the taskbar then when into the settings and disabled every permission I could find. I'm using an offline account and I've never logged into Cortana, Office, Skype or any other product with a Microsoft account.

However, I just received a Windows notification that seems to have been triggered by the system reading my web browser. I had just opened up Gmail in Chrome and one of my new emails was a shipment confirmation from Amazon. The Windows notification (within seconds) suggested that I use Cortana to track packages.

Am I missing something or is this an obvious case of software reading my personal information despite being configured to leave me alone?
