Windows 10: My cursor glitches out when I plug in my laptop.

I have an Acer Aspire A515-56, i've owned it for about 4 years now. About 2 months ago, the problem started. Being that when I plug my laptop in to charge, but continue using it, the cursor sometimes has a spasm when I try moving it with the touchpad. For example, if I try moving from the bottom left, I can only move a few pixels and then it just immediately moves to the top right. It gets frustrating and I don't know what the issue could be. Please help me out!

Cursor "cross" is transparent

Here's an update from my end:

This only happens on my laptop screen when it is plugged into a second monitor.

• If Excel is on the second monitor, then the cursor cross is white.
• If the laptop isn't plugged into the second monitor then the cursor cross is white.

I think the same happens on all Office applications - certainly PowerPoint as well.

From this ^^above, I doubt it is an Excel setting. Not really sure where to start looking for a fix. The issue is that it impedes the use of the application as you keep losing where the damn cursor is.

Thank you both for your prompt replies, I tried all steps listed, some I had tries previously but I still tried them again, but still no cursor.

Do you have any other suggestions?

This issue could have occurred due to these reasons:

• Outdated or corrupt driver.
• Missing Windows Updates.

Try the steps listed here:

Method 1:

I suggest you to install all the available Windows Updates and check if it helps.

Method 2:

If the issue persists, I suggest you to download and install all the latest device drivers including graphics and chipset driver from the computer manufacturer website.
