    My Custom PC display goes black every time I try to open and close games


    I recently built a custom PC, with AMD products. My specs are as follows: Ryzen 5600x, 16gigs of ram, 1tb ssd Radeon RX 6700 XT. The machine seems to run fine, however when ever i try to open or close games my display goes completely black. I am trying to figure out if this can be a BIOS setting that I need to change, or if it is the fact that I am still running on an unactivated windows 10 home. Could activating my Operating system solve the issue? I do not want to drop the money unless I have to so I would just like some insight on that. This the only time the issue exists, when I hit the wi

    Yeah I'm pretty sure that's not a software related issue which is why I was suggesting that you remove the video card to start with since it's such an easy process of elimination step.

    I'm not familiar with AMD CPUs, I did see that you had listed in your system specs but I had no idea whether or not it has an iGPU

    Is there any possibility of you being able to get your hands on any compatible video card at all?it would be the easiest step to try to troubleshoot or at least one of the easier ones. You should be able to get into the bios without anything but A display cable hooked up to the motherboard

    Windows 10 Creator's update - Every time I undock, scaling goes to 150%

    We appreciate that you have checked your drivers and followed the suggested troubleshooting steps. Since the issue is still the same, this can be related to the new customer scaling settings that came with the Creator's Update. Can you follow the steps below
    so we can check it for you:

    • Click on Start then Settings.
    • Choose System then Display.
    • Under Display, select Custom scaling and set it to 100%.

    Black Screen when opening games

    Hi Brendon,

    We understand the issue you are facing and will assist you.

    I suggest you to update the Graphic card driver by following the steps provided below and check.

    • Press Windows key + X and select Device Manager.
    • Expand Display Adapters.
    • Right click on the driver and select Update Driver Software.
    • Follow the on-screen prompts to update the driver.

    If the issue still persists, then suggest you to check with the game developers if they have released any updates for the game and install the same and check.
