Windows 10: My D drive suddenly disappeared and is non-interactive

I was just doing normall processes; one steam application open via the D:// drive, laptop was in charge with next to no background processes. Suddenly, the D:// drive disappears, the application closes. No applications installed on the D drive are accessible and it does not show up in my file explorer.I tried restarting multiple times, each time checking the file explorer, as well as refreshing + rescanning on disk management but the D drive was still not there.I am using a laptop so the drive is built-in. There are no windows updates, security concerns checked via windows defender and all o

I have seen this command before, though I've never used it much, other than to list the disks. I indeed only have 1 2TB drive. However, it's gone again. And even though I tried to list the disks, only C: appeared.

I'll try to open the box tomorrow and see if I can make it appear again.

So, I did a diskpart and then I was able to use the drive again, format it and it's now the same way I bought it (software-wise at least). I also made sure all drivers were up to date (just in case).

However, when it comes to Western Digital's disk test, it still fails for the same reasons. The disk is currently empty, so it's indeed a hardware problem. The cables are all good, so it's the drive itself I guess.

Any other suggestions maybe?

So, I did got no different results from the test, but I saw this. It seems this is the only fail it gives in this results window.

Here's the photo from Event Viewer, all disk warnings are pretty much the same as the ones you see (the only thing that changes is the error code).

Also, I updated the mobo's driver, it was the only driver or anything in general that I could update. I don't think anything will be fixed by that, but you never know... I'll start running the tests you told me as well.

I rebooted and I'm stuck at the Windows login screen. I put my password and then it just reloads the page and asks for my password again (I have the correct password and it doesn't give any wrong password warning). It does that no matter the sign in option I choose.

I also tried to reboot again, in case it was some sort of quick problem, but that didn't help.

 

D: Drive Suddenly Disappeared

Restoring my PC fixed the login issue. There was no change to any of my files, so everything's good. I also have backed-up all of my needed files, so no problems there.

Well, the scan was about my C: drive, which also has Windows. Maybe the problem is there? I changed all cables for that drive too, just to make sure, but that didn't help. So, I don't know if it's the drive's fault or a software problem. I'll download Western Digital's software to make sure.

So, the C: drive easily passed Western Digital's disk test. I found no problems whatsoever. However, the D: drive couldn't complete the test and gave me an error.

I don't know if it's a problem with the disk, or with the files in the disk. I surely can't buy another disk at the moment and since this one is the largest I have (2TB), I need to keep using it. But if it's something wrong with the files (corruptions and such) maybe I could fix it somehow...

What do you guys think?
