Windows 10: My daughter's account controlled by a scammer and Microsoft replies they cannot fix.

My daughter's account is for some mysterious reasons now linked to an account we never heard of, likely a scammer. I contacted the Xbox/Microsoft team who understood the issue but replied they cannot remove my daughter's account from the "family organizer" account even though this is not the real parent but probably a scammer and for sure nobody my daughter or I know. What should I do?

Blocking an owned app from our daughter

We suggest you the following method provided below to block application and games using Family Safety.

Method 1

• Log in to Family Safety using your Microsoft account.
• Look for the user account of your daughter.
• Click the following:
  • For Games: Game restriction and click Game list to choose
    Allow, Block or Use game rating.
  • For Application: App restrictions to choose Allow,
    Block or Use game rating.

Method 2

After blocking Apps/Games on your daughter's account. You need to check that Family Safety is set as On.

• Press Windows key+X and click Control Panel.
  
• Click User Accounts and select Family Safety.
• Choose the account of your daughter to enable parental controls.
• From there you need to check for the following
  • Family Safety - On, enforce current settings
  • Activity Reporting - On, collect information about PC usage.

Fix Microsoft account prompt

Sometimes when i reboot my computer, I am notified to fix my Microsoft account. I must go to Windows settings and log back into my Microsoft account with 2 step verification. Is this normal?

 

Microsoft thinks I am my 10 year daughter

Thank you for the suggestion and step by step instructions. Would doing this eliminate or delete the present Family Safety set up now? And end the connection with my 10 year old daughter to my primary gmail account? That seems to be the key issue. When I enter my primary gmail account for me, an adult Microsoft reads that email as it is my 10 year old daughter because of the Family Safety. I do not want to create another gmail account as I have so many other things linked to my primary. I also do not want to have multiple email accounts. Can you please tell me how to delete the Family Safety and unlink my 10 year daughter from my primary gmail account.
