Windows 10: My delete key is not repeating on my laptop.

My delete key is not repeating on my laptop. It is the only key on the built-in keyboard that does not repeat. I am using Version: 18.2409.1301.0. I have searched for help but can only find old articles that have not solved the problem. My 'Filter Keys' setting has always been toggled off. I have tried to updated drivers in device manager. Any help would be much appreciated.***movd from Microsoft 365 and Office / Word / For home / Windows***

Hold Key Doesn't Repeat in Every Application in WIndows 10

I am using Dell XPS13 9360 running Windows 10 with everything up to date (Windows update, Dell update, Bios, Intel Chipset, etc).

Recently, possibly after last bios upgrade, holding keys no longer repeat properly in every applications. A few examples:

• Office 2016 - backspace repeats but arrow and delete keys don't
  
• Chrome/IE11 - nothing repeats
  
• Edge - all keys repeat as expected
  

I tried all the suggestions around ticking or unticking "User Filter Keys" option. It didn't solve the problem. On-screen keyboard has the same behavior

The only way to "fix" the issue is to uninstall all keyboard drivers in device manager and reboot following the prompt. Once the PC is back up, every key repeats normal, but only till the next reboot where the issue reoccurs.

Is there anything else I can try to solve the problem once for all?

Method 1: Run the
Hardware and devices troubleshooter.

Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with hardware and devices. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with your mouse. Refer these steps:

• 
  Press Windows key +X, select Control panel.
  
• 
  Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons.
  
• 
  Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel.
  
• 
  Run the Hardware and devices troubleshooter.
  

Method 2.Try updating the latest keyboard devices from the manufacturer's website and check if the issue persists.

Follow the steps to update the Keyboard drivers:

a. Press Windows key + X key and click Device Manager.

b. Expand the Keyboard driver.

c. Right-click on the HID Keyboard Device and click on Update driver software.

d. Restart the computer and check.

Repeating Keys don't repeat

windows 10, Lenovo laptop yoga.

For one logon the repeating keys ( Backspace and Space) do not repeat when held down. The On-screen touchscreen keys do repeat correctly. Repeating keys work correctly with any other logon.

No extra hardware on machine.
