I m looking for help about my extrenal hard disk iomega prestige lphd-upc 320 gb who doesn t open with windows 10 at my sony vaio vpceh ,starts blicking and run but my vaio doesn t recognize , my question is what i should do .

 

Problems with Iomega hard drive being recognised

I recently bought a surface book 2 and was trying to transfer data from my old Dell XPS to it. I have an Iomega (LPHD-UPC) external hard drive which i was going to use for this. I plugged the hard drive into my Dell, using a single USB as it drew enough
power, which had been upgraded from windows 7 to windows 10 and it worked fine and i copied some files onto it. I then plugged it into the surface book 2 and it was not recognised. I thought this was weird so I unplugged it and put it back into the Dell. Unfortunately
it no longer worked in the Dell even when i plugged both USB connectors in!

I have tried a range of other things i found on youtube and on this site but none of them work. From what i did it seems like the surface book 2 broke/corrupted my hard drive as it worked one minute and not the next. I have then tried plugging it into a
windows 7 PC and that doesnt work either so im very confused.

Any help or ideas would be much appreciated. The key here is that it worked on windows 10 machine and then stopped working when plugged into the surface book 2 for the first time.

 

Problem with my Iomega external hard drive

I have a new Dell desktop with windows 10.

Connecting my Iomega external hard drive with all my backup from my former computer, Windows recognizes the Iomega but my primary Iomega tool bars don't come up.

What does come up are the files that are in the external hard drive, but I can only access "my pictures", not, "my documents".

I have not contacted Iomega, the "Geek Squad" or anyone else.

I found this site and posting this problem here.

Anybody have any suggestions?
