    My Dell Laptop keeps pressing enter automatically even though I'm not phisically pressing it


    The enter keys are NOT stuck, I have checked and even removed them, seems to be the system in some way. I have searched and tried re-installing any drivers present 4: on my Device Management page there are 3 HID Devices under Keyboard and 1 PS/2. I have updated, uninstalled them and nothing worked. I tried binding the enter keys to another one and it still continues pressint enter, not the bound key. I even went as far as resetting my computer and it still didn't work. I don't know what to do anymore, and it's just super annoying to not be able tu use the computer properly, it seems to have

    Hold on.
    I use the same PIN on both my Dell and my Asus. I use letters and numbers. Dell, no need to press enter. Asus, I must press enter.

    PIN log in without pressing enter

    Try changing the Asus PIN to numeric only and make certain to clear the checkbox in the pic above. I wish I understood why but losing the alpha content fixed my Dell.

    I have observed the same issue with my old Dell laptop. I'm pretty secure about myself but just to be precise, I fired up the old machine and guess what? The lockscreen is configured for a PIN entry and it did require me to press enter in order to login.
    I'm a bit curious why myself, why is the Dell different than my MSI that doesn't require an enter after the PIN entry?. My Dell Laptop keeps pressing enter automatically even though I'm not phisically pressing it :p

    Both laptops are using Windows 10 -1809 and are setup in a very similar configuration.
