  1. My desktop apps don't stay logged in upon reboot

    I am on a Windows 10 PC, 64 bit, version 2004, OS build 19041.508.

It used to be, before the last major update during the summer, that if I logged into my Microsoft and Adobe applications, the next time I booted up the computer, I was still logged in. After the update, there were major I mean MAJOR issues with this computer. I had to have a computer guy come look at it. He said he fixed everything, but I still can't keep the apps logged in.

I thought it was Adobe, but they spent some time in my computer remotely today finally - been trying for 3 weeks and told me it is a Microsoft Windows issue.

I've asked the community before too, and gotten no answer. I can't get any support from Microsoft any other way, so I'm trying here again.

I run Obit Advanced Care on the computer every night. I thought it was them so I turned off a few things to be scanned. Before I did that, I was getting error logs when I tried to log into Adobe that said WARNING:dns_config_service_win.cc668] Failed to read DnsConfig.

Could that be the issue? If so, how do I fix it? If not, any ideas what the problem might be? Adobe NEVER stays logged in, and Microsoft is intermittent.

I just noticed when I went to find the system info for this post that under Windows security , App and Browser Control is turned off. Would this be an issue? Should it be on anyway? I do use Webroot as my virus/internet protection.

Any help would be appreciated. I don't know how serious this is but it is certainly annoying to have to re-login to Adobe and Microsoft every time I turn on the computer.

    Thanks,

    Marcy

    :)

    Staying logged on

Thank you - that seems to have solved my problem. (But why could I not have been told this in the first place (rather than requiring me to look for "lower right hand corner select Screen Saver" direct from the Personalisation screen?!(
