    My desktop icons (this pc, recycle, control panel, etc etc) wont show up


    Hey All


    My desktop icons (this pc, recycle, control panel, etc etc) wont show up after I have ticked them in the "desktop icon settings" but they are nowere. I tried to sort the desktop thinking there might be a chance the icons were placed in limbo (off screen)


    Any Ideas?

    Hi Nicholas,

    Recycle Bin is a temporary storage that contains files that have been deleted but not yet permanently erased, allowing you to restore these files. To show
    Recycle Bin on Windows 10 desktop, kindly follow these steps:

    • Go to Control Panel by pressing Windows + X
      and clicking Control Panel.
    • Click Appearance and Personalization and go to Personalization.
    • Click Change desktop icons and check the box beside Recycle Bin.

    Missing change desktop icons task in the control panel

    That isn't the problem I'm having. the problem is that there is normally a link in the control panel under personalization to customize which icons are on your desktop, such as My PC or Recycle Bin, but those links aren't there.

    Lost Recycle Bin in Windows 10

    Hello,

    We highly suggest to follow the steps below:

    • Click the Start button , type desktop icons into the search box, and then click Show or hide common icons on the desktop.
    • In the Desktop Icon Settings dialog box, do one of the following: To hide the Recycle Bin, clear the Recycle Bin check box. ...
    • Click OK.
