My desktop runs W10, but after setting up a VPS, I get information to show that my PC runs on W-8.1 therefore I have 2 Operating systems. What can I do to delete 8.1?When googled, I was informed that it might be better NOT to uninstall 8.1, but I feel that W-10 uninstalled my previous version which was 8,7 and with it should have deleted 8.1 as well.I would appreciate some assistance please.Thanking you sincerely,Hercs.* Moved from Community Center

Sleep problem with Desktop PC running Win 10

This issue might occur due to faulty settings or incompatible drivers.

I suggest you to try the methods below and check if it helps.



Method 1: Let’s run Power troubleshooter.

The power troubleshooter can automatically detect and fix any incorrect power settings. Refer to these steps to run this troubleshooter:

  Select settings in the drop down menu below search and type
  Troubleshooting.
  
• 
  Click on Troubleshooting and select the view all option on the left pane.
  
• 
  Click on Power troubleshooter and follow the prompts.
  

If issue persist, I suggest you to try method 2.



Method 2:

I suggest you to try the steps below and check if it helps.

  Press Windows + R key.
  
• 
  Type devmgmt.msc in the run command window and hit enter.

  Navigate to the Network Adapter and select the
  adapter.
  
• 
  Right click on the Network
  adapter and go to properties.
  
• 
  Under properties go to Power
  management.
  
• 
  Uncheck Allow this device to wake the computer.

Insurgency wont install and run for me....

I have played and have fully updated CS and Half life 2....
I am using the newest client and installed the SDK.

I am completely blown away, if i click the desktop icon it starts the sdk and then closes, and it doesn't show up in my game list...

First mod attempt install here, followed the directions step by step on the mods website...

Any ideas?

 

"W10 will not run" when it already is running

I am trying to run the latest W10 update and get the message that "W10 will not run on this PC" with the reason "CPU isn't supported (1GHz required)". This despite having already installed W10 - twice!. This happened when I tried to run the last update
and I ended up having to reinstall Windows 10 from scratch. I don't want to do that again! I'm sure there must be a fix for this.

Here's the info:

PC is running W10 version 14393, and I am trying to update to 15063

My CPU is Intel Core i7-4790k 4GHz.

The last succesful update (according to my update history) was:

Windows 10 Creators Update Privacy Settings for x64-based systems (KB4013214) a few days ago.

Can someone help?
