    Hi Dave,

    Are you missing the alphabetical list of installed apps on the left of your Start Menu totally, or are just some apps missing?

    If you are missing that list totally:

    Open the Settings App

    Go to Personalization - Start

    Turn on 'Show App List in Start Menu'

    windows 10 desktop icons won't stay in left column

    I just tried it... no go. I switched from 'Small icons' to 'Medium icons', then when I switched back to small, got the blank left column. And now both 'Small' and 'Medium' leaves the left column blank. ('Large' does display in left column, but as soon
    as I pick Small or Medium, column disappears.)

    I'm beginning to wonder if it has to do with the video card. Mine is a NVIDIA GeForce GT 555M ... you aren't using a NVIDIA GeForce also, are you?
