Windows 10: My device is not recommanded to update 1903. Is this need to stop the update of 1903 manually?

My device is an old laptop. Lenovo does not test my device anymore.

Is this need to stop the update of 1903?

or let 1903 install first and then roll back？


Now the 1903 update is started today. It is fortunate that the update stops itself because it needs more disk space.


My device is not listed in the Lenovo tested device list. My system was not tested by Lenovo and updated drivers may not be available. If I want to proceed with upgrading or updating an untested device, refer to the Microsoft Windows Help website.

Will Microsoft provide generic drivers for the hardware as part of Windows 10, but some features and functionality may be lost?

Bluetooth not connecting devices after 1903 update

It’s a known bug with 1903 update:

Unable to discover or connect to Bluetooth devices

Microsoft has identified compatibility issues with some driver versions for Bluetooth radios made by Realtek and Qualcomm. To safeguard your update experience, we have applied a compatibility hold on devices with affected driver versions for Realtek or Qualcomm
Bluetooth radios from being offered Windows 10, version 1903 or Windows Server, version 1903 until the driver has been updated.

Affected platforms:

Client: Windows 10, version 1903

Server: Windows Server, version 1903

Workaround: Check with your device manufacturer (OEM) to see if an updated driver is available and install it.

For Qualcomm drivers, you will need to install a driver version greater than 10.0.1.11.

For Realtek drivers, you will need to install a driver version greater than 1.5.1011.0.

Note Until an updated driver has been installed, we recommend you do not attempt to manually update using the Update now button or the Media Creation Tool.

Next steps: Microsoft is working with Realtek and Qualcomm to release new drivers for all affected system via Windows Update.

 

Windows Feature Update 1903

Greetings! I am Vijay, an Independent Advisor. The steps which you have undertaken to block updates won't work for any feature update. Feature updates need to be blocked temporarily by using different steps.

But, I will suggest that you should not try to stop 1903 feature update. Let it happen.

If I understand correctly, in simple terms, you are suggesting changing the path/method of obtaining the 1903 update but still installing it anyway -

Surely if the problem is actually with the 1903 update then the result will be the same problems irrespective of how it is applied?

Please could you clarify in simple terms, step by step, what your suggested actions actually do and how this may solve the problem.
