Discus and support my device was hacked, is this a Microsoft number? in Windows 10 Gaming to solve the problem; my laptop device froze and a message came up saying "your computer has been hacked, please call 1-888-351-9091 for Microsoft Support". is this fraud or...     my device was hacked, is this a Microsoft number?


    my laptop device froze and a message came up saying "your computer has been hacked, please call 1-888-351-9091 for Microsoft Support". is this fraud or is this an actual Microsoft Support Phone Number?

    Microsoft Defender hack possible

    My wife is using her laptop with MS Windows 11 and getting a message that she should call a number to get her security straightened out due to a Defender hack. We don't trust the number listed so what number can we call from Microsoft to get tech support?

    Microsoft to Acquire Nokia's Devices & Services Business

    The Chief Executive of Nokia Stephen Elop will step aside and return to Microsoft, his position at Microsoft is not yet disclosed but it is being rumored that Mr. Elop will be signed as the CEO for Microsoft once Ballmer hands in his resignation in the coming year.


    As demands grow weak for Nokia’s mobile devices the company is faced with cash-flow problems. It has lost a majority of its market share to Apple and Samsung.
    "It's a bold step into the future - a win-win for employees, shareholders and consumers of both companies," Microsoft's outgoing CEO, Steve Ballmer, said in a statement.

    Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.



    This issue might be happening because of the faulty device.



    1. Since when are you facing this issue?
    2. Have you recently made any changes on the device?
    3. What is the make and model number of the device?
    4. Is this issue happening on Laptop or desktop keyboard?
    5. Which Operating system is installed on your device?


    Step 1: If the issue is causing with the faulty driver, run the Hardware Troubleshooter

    1. Click on Start.
    2. Search for Troubleshoot and click on it.
    3. Click on Keyboard and Run the troubleshooter.
    You may also refer the article to
    fix issues related to keyboard in Windows    .



    Step 2: You can also try with “Onscreen keyboard” to check the working of numeric key.

    1. Open run command (Windows and R key), type in
      OSK.
    2. Use the numeric 2 and check the status.
    If the issue is only with the specific numeric key (Number 2), I suggest you to check with the manufacturer for the further assistance.
