Windows 10: My digital license is on my old motherboard that got rma'ed. i cant activate win 10 or 11...

Ive even tried to reinstall windows as i learned that my digital license is on the old motherboard. how do i get it back ?

Activating Win 10 after motherboard replacement

I had a Windows 10 computer with a digital license that was linked to my Microsoft account. It was upgraded from a Windows 7 license. The motherboard of that PC had a defect so I had to throw it away. After that I removed that computer from the device list
of my Microsoft account and used a Laptop for a while.

I don't have my old Win 7 key and I didn't even get a chance to extract the Win 10 key from the old motherboard. And now since I bought a new motherboard is it possible for me to activate a new installation of Windows 10 with my old license?

While that is certainly a grandiloquent reply it doesn't change the facts of what happens in real life. Joe has activated Windows 10 or 11 on a motherboard. He transfers the digital license for Windows to a new motherboard using his Microsoft account. Joe sells his old motherboard to Sam. Sam installs the same edition of Windows that was previously activated on the old motherboard and skips entering a product key. It will activate from the previous digital license and there is nothing that either Sam or Joe can do to change that.

have upgrade from win 7 to 10 n activate win using digital entitlment..my old motherboard is fry,so i got new one..can we use my previous digital license to activate win on this new motherboard..tq
