    My Disk Drive is at 100% even only some programs like Microsoft Edge Is Opened. How to Fix...


    Whenever I Log in to my pc its show my disk drive 100 % what should I do to solve this problem. This Problem Started Yesterday when i tried to install a software called autocad but there was some corrupt files which defender removed and i deleted the setup folder too but today my disk drive is at 100% and my pc is lagging very hard

    100% disk usage when opening ANY program

    ýes but that's the thing, any program i open will make it go to 100% so a screenshot wont really make a difference, if i open lets say world of warcraft, it says world of warcraft is using a huge amount of disk, if i open discord, it says discord is using
    an insane amount of disk, if i open microsoft edge it says microsoft edge uses an insane amount of disk. its like this for every single program and it doesn't matter how small or big it is. so there's no specific program that does this.

    I ran the steps to reinstall Windows 10 default apps after Defender showed no problems. I have my mail program back but instead of Edge I have Internet Explorer. Edge has got to be on this machine somewhere because when I clicked on a hyperlink in an e-mail
    (that I trust) it opened in Edge. But I can't find edge in the programs.

    If I click on start and type Microsoft Edge a list comes up with the Edge icon at the top and further down Edge is listed. I have tried right clicking and pinning to start but nothing happens. I have tried double left clicking to try to open but nothing
    happens.

    Any other suggestions?

    when on or restart microsoft edge open

    Hi,

    Just to clarify, you would like to stop Microsoft Edge from automatically opening the link you stated, is that right?

    If so, I suggest you to try the steps below and check if it helps.

    1. Open Microsoft Edge.

    2. Click the "more"(three dots) option.

    3. Click Settings > Open Microsoft edge with/

    4. From the drop down list, choose a different option other than "specific page".
