Windows 10: My disk usage was at 100%, I have tried reset, and repair but both did not work

I am currently letting it clean wipe and reinstall from a usb, it’s been over an hour, should I just take it into the computer store at this point? I don’t know what to fo anymore and everything takes so long but gives no results. The reset got stuck on 11% and stopped working.

Issue: 100% disk usage bringing down my whole system perfomance

Workaround: NONE are working ( tried more than 40 suggestions including Microsoft one)

100% disk usage on Windows 10

I have been having 100% disk usage off and on for several months. I have tried all steps from every suggestion I can find and nothing resolves the issue. I finally reset to a fresh install of Windows (wiping out all of my files and programs). Here I am
with nothing on this computer, two programs open (Task Manager and Chrome), bouncing between 22-100% disk usage. Please help! I'm at my wits end! I have a Intel Core i7-7500 CPU @ 2.75 GHz, 2tb hard drive and 16 GB RAM

Experienced the 100% disk usage and related performance issues for some time on Dell Inspiron desktop. Completed numerous steps as outlined in several community support groups and the problem persists. Recently I located a suggestion to remove apps to determine the one(s) causing the issue. Before removing - AS a first step - performed a repair to all Apps not working properly. Below is repeatable - (the solution is to repair an application and the repair has to be completed again after each restart.)

From: Setting, Apps & Features find the 2 applications,





both when highlighted will offer: Modify, then repair. Note - the 5.0.17 will request a restart. Before restarting - I have monitored the task manager & within 5 minutes of the change, the disk usage will drop from 100% to an approximate total of all usage in the active applications. This appears to correct the situation and performance improves greatly until a restart is performed. At which time the 2 Apps need to be repaired again.

Issue - on restart, the problem returns, and both of the above applications will again show that a repair is required. Is there a method to get the repairs to be permanent in the above apps?
