Windows 10: My display suddenly changed

I have a touchscreen all in one desktop. When we started the computer this morning, the display is all wonky. I have no idea what happened to them. The tabs at the top are much bigger then they were and the text and size of the displays are all different. I have been through all of the display settings and they are all the recommended settings. Is there a way to go back to default display settings?

Display Suddenly Changed

It was not the update (well, not directly). What had happened was that your display was in Tablet Mode. You can tell it's in Table Mode from the 'back' arrow to the right of Start and different options you see when you right-click on taskbar. Here's mine in Tablet mode....







The default is that Windows will 'use the appropriate mode for my hardware' and it appears (this one time) to have made a mistake determining your hardware (perhaps the update confused it?). It got it right at the next boot and should continue to do so from now on.

 

Display resolution keeps changing

Hi Rick,

It might be caused by a faulty driver that's why your display resolution keeps changing. We
suggest that you uninstall and reinstall the display driver, see steps below:

• Press Windows key + X and click on
  Device Manager.
• For graphics cards, expand the Display adapters category, right click your graphics card and select Uninstall.
• Restart your PC and Windows will attempt to reinstall the driver.
