    My Dlink DWA 182 isn't working


    I got this Dlink DWA 182 adapter last year.I've been having issues lately and the adapter doesn't work:the indicator doesn't lit up and my PC doesnt detect it when I plug it into my PC.I've tried updating the drivers,it still doesn't work.Any solutions,thanks.My Dlink DWA 182 isn't working [​IMG]hi

    Dlink DWA 182 C rev. on Windows 10 , only connects as 802.11a protocol


    Recently bought DWA 182 C1 AC1200, and when I connected to my DIR-850L 5Ghz WirelessAC, Windows 10 only shows im connected using 802.11a protocol. using latest driver from dlink (Driver (3.06.B04 Win 02/19/16)

    D-Link Technical Support


    I even tried to force 802.11ac mode of the dongle, via device manager, still getting 802.11a connection

    any idea on how to get 802.11ac , using DWA182, on Windows 10?

    Hi Jac,

    Thank you for posting your response in Microsoft Community.

    I understand your concern, and we in Community will try to find the best possible resolution to your problem.

    If you want to install D-LINK DWA-182 WI-FI USB Adapter driver, I suggest you to install it in compatibility mode and see if it helps.

    Download Windows drivers on this site:

    To install the driver in compatibility mode, follow the steps below:

    • Right click on the setup file of the driver and select
      Properties
    • Select Compatibility Tab
    • Place a check mark next to Run this program in Compatibility mode and select the operating system accordingly from the drop down list
    • Click OK and run the setup.

    D-link DWA-182 BSOD Windows 10

    The software for DWA-182 doesn't work on my Windows 10 from the CD installation, however there is a work-around for those who have dual or multi boot systems. I successfully installed the software on my Vista partition, and the DWA-182 works just fine on
    Windows 10 with this scenario. I want to delete the Vista partition but not until Windows 10 drivers are available for this product. (Maybe Windows update could provide the needed driver).
