Windows 10: My Downloads folder dissapeared after moving.

So recently my OS drive got full so I moved all of my folders to the Data drive by going to properties and changing locations. However, when I did this with the Downloads folder, my old downloads did not show up on the new folder and I can't find the old one anywhere to copy-paste. All of them are showing "Deleted" on chrome as well.

There are lot of possible causes why you're unable to move your downloaded folder. This may be due to corrupted profile or corrupted system files. For better assistance, we'd like to ask the following:

• What troubleshooting steps have you tried so far?
• Did you make any changes to your computer before experiencing this issue? If yes, can you tell us more about it?
• Just to clarify, are you using the administrator access when moving the downloaded files?

Moving download folder

As the link in Post #4 suggests, you have to Move the folder using the Location tab in it's Properties. This will overwrite any files you have in the Download Folder on the Backup drive if they are the same.

I suggest you to Restore to Default the folders and document settings and see if it helps.

Step 1:

Please follow below steps and check if it helps.

• Go to Download folder.
• Right click on the Download Folder and go to Properties.
• In Properties go to Location tab.
• In location Tab Click on Restore Default.

Step 2:

Please follow below steps and check if it helps.

• Go to Documents folder.
• Right click on the Document folder and go to Properties.
• In Properties go to Location tab.
• In location Tab Click on Restore Default.

After performing above steps change the settings as you required and check if it helps.
