Hi My windows 10 was updated yesterday. after i start it it crashes. Now it won't start and when I go into propt. it saysx:\sourcesx:\sources>bcdeditThe boot configuration data store could not be opened.The requested system device cannot be found.Diskpart> list disk Disk ### Status Size Free Dyn Gpt ---------- -------- ------ --------- ------- ---------- Disk 0 Online 223 GB 223 GB Disk 1 Online 931 GB 0 GBI have two different hard drives. one SSD of 223

Thank you for the screenshot, however that indicates a problem on that drive, Windows used to be booted form that second drive and it contains all the boot partitions, recovery partitions and also that partition with the green border is marked as adynamic disk.

The only way to resolve that drive is as follows:

Disconnect that drive and test if Windows boots form the C drive partition without that being connected.

If Winnows does boot, then you would need to backup all data on that partition temporarily to another location,, then delete all partitions on that drive.

Then, when the whole drive is marked as 'Unallocated Space, right click that and select 'new - Simple volume' and accept the defaults, that would then be a new full drive you can use as a data drive.

My drive's unallocated space is unmanageable.

I have two drives in my computer. One is the boot and there's a second 1 terabyte one. It had two partitions that were previously used on another computer that i now wanted as a single partition, so i backed up my data and deleted the second partition, E. But afterwards, when I tried to extend the other partition with the now 430gb unallocated storage, I am only getting the "there is not enough space on the disk to complete this action" error. That is a very large amount of space i wouldnt like to lose, and I have tried many other fixes online, none of which pertained exactly to solve my problem.

Help would be much appreciated
