Windows 10: My DVD is not working No Scratches

I have 2 new and blank dvd's . They had very minor scratches. I inserted one in my desktops dvd reader and when i clicked on the dvd drive on windows explorer. it had 2 options. one was use this as a usb drive and other was to use it to play videos. i clicked the first and it told preparing and it was also written formatting 0 bytes. I am using windows 7 sp1. The process was taking very long and i thought it was an error so i ended the application using task manager and took out the dvd. i reinserted it and it was not working and lagging windows explorer on left clicking / right clicking th

Follow these steps to run Hardware and Devices troubleshooter:

• Press Windows key + X and click on Control Panel.
• Select Troubleshooting.
• Select View all on the top left corner.
• Click Hardware and Devices.
• Follow the on-screen instruction to run the troubleshooter.

Method 2: Uninstall and reinstall the driver

I suggest you to try uninstall the DVD drive drivers check if it works for you. Follow the steps to uninstall the DVD drive drivers:

• Press Windows Key + X key and click Device Manager.
• Right-click on the DVD drive listed and click on ‘Uninstall’.
• Select the option to Delete driver software.
• Restart the computer after its uninstalled.

Try to access the device manufacturer's website and download and install the latest chipset drivers.

Burned DVD's Work in SOME players

In that case, it is possible the problem is with the blu ray player not supporting DVD+R disks.

Suggest you check to make sure: it's possible you can overcome this problem by simply burning DVD-R instead of DVD+R. Check your blu ray compatibility list first.
