Windows 10: My ECHOHERO has a corrupted and/or DVD driver. How do I fix this? I can't even locate it...

Have an ECHOHERO. The DVD driver is corrupted and/or uninstalled after updating. How can this be fixed?

bluetooth driver and DVD player isn't working

When you say DVD player, are you referring to the DVD Player app in Windows 10?

I suggest you to run hardware troubleshooter and check if it helps. This issue could also occur due to drivers corruption or incompatible drivers.

Method 1: The Hardware Troubleshooter is an automated tool which checks the hardware connected to the computer for any known issues and provides the details on how to fix them. Follow these
steps to run the troubleshooter.

• Type Troubleshooting in the search bar and press “Enter”.
• In the “Troubleshooting” window, click on “View All” on the left pane.
• Click on “Hardware and Devices”.
• Click on “Advanced” and then click on “Run as Administrator”.
• Click “Next” and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the troubleshooting process.

Method 2: Uninstall and reinstall the Bluetooth driver and check, if it works. Refer to the following steps to uninstall the Bluetooth controller’s driver from the Device Manager.

  Click on Windows key + X and then, select
  Device Manager.
  
• 
  Locate and expand “Bluetooth” in the
  Device Manager Window.
  
• 
  Right-click on the “Bluetooth” and click on “uninstall".
  
• 
  Restart the computer and check, if it works.
  

Method 3:

I recommend you to un-install/re-install the DVD drive driver and check.

• 
  Press Windows key + X and select
  Device Manager.
  
• 
  Click on DVD/ CD-ROM drives to expand, right click on the
  device and click on Uninstall.
  
• 
  Once you are done un-installing the driver restart the computer, it will automatically install the generic driver.

Cannot view DVDs as they run

You might be facing this issue due to outdated\corrupt DVD drivers.

I suggest you to follow the methods below and check if it fixes the issue.

Method 1: Run Hardware and Devices Troubleshooter

Follow these steps to run Hardware and Devices troubleshooter:

• Press Windows key + W and type troubleshooting.
• Select Troubleshooting.
• Select View all on the top left corner.
• Click Hardware and Devices.
• Follow the on-screen instruction to run the troubleshooter.

Method 2: Uninstall and reinstall the driver

I suggest you to try uninstall the DVD drive drivers check if it works for you.
Follow the steps to uninstall the DVD drive drivers:

• Press Windows Key + X key and click Device Manager.
• Right-click on the DVD drive listed and click on ‘Uninstall’.
• Select the option to Delete driver software.
• Restart the computer after its uninstalled.

Try to access the device manufacturer's website and download and install the latest chipset drivers.
