Windows 10: My Edge icon on my bottom Task Bar no longer opens my outlook.com. Windows 10

I had a major problem yesterday - I lost my outlook.com in Edge and had to use IE11 to get it sorted out.


That's been sorted but this morning I've found that my Edge icon on my bottom Task Bar doesn't open outlook.com as it used to do. Instead it now opens the UK's public broadcaster's home page.


How do I change it please?

In Windows 10 EDGE is the primary browser, you can also use the Internet explorer.

To pin internet explorer to taskbar follow the steps.

Open Microsoft Edge

• 
  Click on this icon “…” at the right corner of the Edge at the top.
  
• 
  Select open Internet Explorer.
  
• 
  Right Click on Internet Explorer in taskbar bar.
  
• 
  Click on Pin this program from taskbar.
  

For windows icon issue please follow the steps.

• 
  Right click on taskbar and Select task manager
  
• 
  Find windows Explorer right click on it.
  
• 
  Click on End task don’t close the
  task manager, please stay on that page.
  
• 
  Click on file and select
  Run new task
  
• 
  Type “explorer.exe”

If the icon is hidden from the task bar, you can enable it by using the following steps. The icon might be hidden. Here's how to show the battery icon:

• Right-click an empty area on the taskbar, and then click
  Properties.
• Under Notification area, click
  Customize.
• In Notification Area Icons, click on Select
  which icons appear on Taskbar.
• On in the drop-down list next to
  Power, and then click OK.

If the issue still persists you can try Updating the latest Power management driver software for Windows 10 from the manufacturer website.
