Windows 10: My email account locked,cannot sync with One Drive

MS tells me my email is locked due to too many attempts to reset password and to contact my ISP. I did and nothing wrong with my email. I cannot sync my email to my One Drive and MS keeps having me fill out info but it is going in circles. Can someone help?I had a notice that my yahoo email, which was my original backup email was compromised, so I deleted my yahoo acct,since then I haven't been able to sync my email with my One Drive. MS claims it was due to too many attempts to reset password and somehow has locked my email preventing me from syncing to One Drive.

Unauthorized Emails from my account?

It is more than likely that your email account was hacked, either by a virus sniffing your password, or just simply hacked.

Either way, change your password on your email account. Unfortunately the damage by already be done. They already have your contact list and your email address associated with that contact list. There is nothing stopping them from sending out emails using their own SMTP servers to everyone on your contact list and claiming the emails are from your email address. They don't actually have to have access to your yahoo account or even any yahoo server to send emails to people that come from your address.

 

Microsoft Account not syncing WP8.1

Hi Michael,

We suggest that you manually sync your Microsoft account by following these steps:

• Go to Settings.
• Tap email + accounts.
• Tap and hold your Microsoft account.
• Tap sync.

Check also if you have the correct date and time set on your phone.

Mail on windows10 : email account will not sync.

• What exact error are you receiving when you try to sync the mails?
• Does this issue persist in all e-mail account?

Also after configuring account kindly follow the below given steps and check if mail syncs:

• Click on Gear (setting) button in left panel in Mail app.
• Click or tap on Account in right panel.
• Click or tap on the Account that is not syncing.
• Click on Change mailbox sync setting.
• Select “as item arrives” under Download new content.
• Toggle Email to ON under Sync options.
• Check and verify that sync works now.
