my wife used my email address to sign in to my microsoft account, and made herself the administrator. My account with my email address is under her name. how can i reverse it and make me the owner and administrator of my own account? to be How can I reverse it?

It's quite easy in fact, simply switch the account in question first to a local account, then switch back to a Microsoft account, this time using your wife's MS account credentials.

Notice that before doing this you need to remove the new additional MS account on the PC, the one you created with her credentials. Windows allows only one user account for each email address, if the new account exists you cannot switch the original administrator account to an MS account using the same email address. Strange.

It looks as if the best alternative would be as follows, subject to me understanding you correctly that you only want one user account and that should be an MS account with your wife's email address:

• Create a user account to your wife with her MS account email
• Copy the data from C:\Users\Your_Original_Account to the new account of your wife's (Documents to Documents, Pictures to Pictures and so on)
• Make your wife's account an administrator account
• Delete your original account

1) How do you access the Windows computer? Do you use Microsoft account or local account?

I suggest you to follow the below steps and check if it helps.

• 
  Open PC settings, and click/tap on Accounts on the left side.
  
• 
  Click/tap on your account on the right side, click/tap on the More account settings online link at the top of the right side.
  
• 
  If this PC or device is not a trusted device, then you will be prompted to enter and submit a security code sent to your phone or alternate email address.

  In Internet Explorer, or your default web browser, click/tap on the Add or change aliases link under Account aliases.
  
• 
  Click/tap on Rename under your (primary alias).
  
• 
  Click/tap on Yes, rename my primary alias.
  
• 
  Sign in to your Microsoft account with your new email address and password. You can close the web browser when finished.

  To Create a New Email Address to Use as your Primary Alias

    Select (dot) Create a new email address as your primary alias.

    Select if you want a new hotmail.com, live.com, or outlook.com address.
