Windows 10: My Email got changed and i cant log back in.

I had an microsoft account where my email was *** Email address is removed for privacy *** recently i clicked on my account in the microsoft store and saw the email is *** Email address is removed for privacy *** whats weird cause sflick is my gamertag. If I try to log in using the old email it shows that this email doesnt have an accoun on microsoft.If i use the new email all my passwords are wrong and the security email is one i never saw. Im not sure if I was hacked cause my email got changed to my Gamertag or Microsoft did some what i cant imagine.

Also may I suggest you change email accounts to one of the following.....

Gmail
Outlook

The reason is they both use "Step two verification". This style of verification means even if a hacker gets your password they cannot log in to your account. You see every time someone try's to log in that hasn't been verified you will get a text or a phone call giving you a final code to log in. Its very easy and simple to setup also. The great thing is once you setup your Email application with a specific "application password" from that account you never have to log in again AND your account is protected from being logged in from foreign entities.

I like the new outlook personally however Gmail is also damn good. Gmail also has an IP tracker that allows you to see WHERE the account has been logged in from. Anyway let us know if you wanna change over and have any questions. We will be happy to help and welcome to TPU!

Are you referring to picture on the log in screen of the computer? If yes, follow the steps below:

• Click Windows key.
• Type Settings.
• Click Accounts.
• On the left pane, click Your email and accounts.
• Select the user account, to change the picture. Click Browse.

Unable to log into laptop after changing password.

We understand how difficult it could be and we appreciate the time and effort that you have taken to work this issue. However, in order to get clarity, we would need some more information regarding the issue.

1. Were you using the “Old email (account) address” regardless of not using laptop?
   
2. Are both the email addresses linked?
   
3. Could you please let us know, where exactly you get prompt for the password for the “Old email address” in the desktop?
   
4. What is the exact error message you get when you try to log in to laptop?
   
5. Does your desktop has two user profiles?
   

In the meantime, we would suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below and check.



You would need to have internet connection in laptop, so that the password change could get updated and it seems that the laptop is not connected to the internet, we would suggest you to connect Ethernet cable to laptop and then
try logging in to the laptop with the new password for the old email address.
