Windows 10: My escape key and my windows key logo dosent work when I'm playing a video game in full...

No matter what game it is Fortnite, Marvel Rivals, or Minecraft my Windows key doesn't work to let me access the bottom bar so that I can easily switch tabs without constantly having the bottom bar up. It's not the game's fault because I checked my settings in Fortnite for example and it says that I have the easy Windows switch mode where if I just press escape or windows key for escape the bottom bar will show up without having the bar constantly being there to ruin my full screen. If someone can help me so that I can have those keys work so it's easier for me to play Fortnite and just press

How to test escape key?

I've been playing a game where I access the menu with the escape key, and it's not working. I can't think off the top of my head how else to test if the key is working or not.
