Windows 10: My ethernet cable wont find the DHPC server.

I have tried setting a static IP for my ethernet cable, resetting the adapter, the ethernet device, reinstalling it and just bought a new ethernet cable. I know that the problem lies with the ethernet looking for a IP address and not getting one. The DHCP is enabled according to my routers website settings and also according to ipconfig. I tried making a static IP address it still didn't work so I am curious as to what the problem is. Also when I tried setting a static IP address the default gateway doesn't show up. I have all the screenshots of this but it doesn't let me upload them to this w

Ethernet cable not working.

You need to solve your problem one step at a time, e.g. like so:

• Connect your CAT5 cable directly to your router. If it does not work, replace the cable.
• Connect the cable to your TP-Link wall plug. If it does not work, reconfigure or replace the wall plug.

• What is the model number of your laptop?
  
• Do you have a yellow exclamation on the network icon after connecting the cat 7 cable?
  

However, you can follow the troubleshooting steps from
Fix network connection issues in Windows.

Also, I suggest you to check the laptop manual or laptop manufacturer to know whether the Ethernet port of your laptop supports cat 7 cable.

my pc wont connect to the ethernet cable

so i got a new ethernet/lan cable but i dont know why it connects randomly and if i turn off or reset my pc it wont connect to the ethernet cable rather say unable to find ip address
