Windows 10: My Ethernet is suddenly much slower than yesterday? [WINDOWS 11]

Hi!Yesterday my Ethernet was working perfectly at around 70mbps. Before I went to bed I plugged out my cable and used it on my laptop in bed. Today when I woke up and plugged back in my cable it was barely at 10mbps.I've narrowed it down to be my desktop causing the issue, the cable reached 50-60 Mbps when I plugged it in to my laptop again, and all other devices reach 30ish Mbps over wireless.I don't understand what happened? Did I break the port or something, it seems unlikely because when I run a speedtest it seems like I get a spike the first second then it just narrows down to around 11-1

My ethernet connection suddenly stopped working. It was fine until yesterday.

I have a Windows 10 Home Edition laptop connected to a 2G / 5G router. I've never had a problem with the internet before. My ethernet connection suddenly stopped yesterday, so I checked the settings and found it said "unidentified network, no connection" on the ethernet page, instead of my network name as usual. The strange thing is that I found that Wifi still works, so the router itself is not down for some reason. Tried reconnecting the ethernet cable to the router, then to the computer, even restarting the computer, but nothing worked. It's as if the cable just didn't recognize itself as plugged in, even though it was working fine yesterday morning.



Your help would be appreciated.

 

Ethernet suddenly died

The Ethernet connection suddenly just died.
I can see on the router it has negotiated 1GB but ipconfig shows "media disconnected".
I have tried different ports on the router and a different cable but no change.
Did my motherboard ethernet port just die??

 

Windows 10 boot suddenly a lot slower

Safe mode unfortunately actually seemed to take even longer to start. I can't put my finger on this. Oh by the way, you nkow when you suggested using the MSCONFIG tool and pressing "Disable All" on the non-Microsoft services? I forgot to take a screenshot of these (for my own reference) before disabling them all, would it be fair to assume that they were all enabled beforehand? (just so I know that clicking on "Enable All" should be fine)
