Windows 10: My Expensive 2000 Dollar Gaming PC Slowed Down SO MUCH. Please Help!

My computer is super slow now. I built a pc in August of this year. It's only been 3 months and my computer is super slow. I've reset my computer TWICE! Still the same thing. I think my hardware is damaged.


Here are my PC Specs:


CPU: Intel i7 9700k @3.6 ghz

GPU: ASUS ROG Strix Geforce 2070

Motherboard: ASUS Prime Z-390A

PSU: Corsair RMx series 650 watt

SSD: Samsung 860 Evo 500 gb

HDD: WD Blue 2TB



I went to resource monitor app to see if my hardware is damaged and it says this:

If the problem continues the disk may need to be upgraded.


The "Memory" rating for the system is very poor and may be the cause for performance issues. Reducing the number of open applications may improve system performance. Im running games like Call Of Duty Black Ops 3 on 20 FPS even when its on lowest settings.

Help with gaming PC build

I'm looking at putting together a gaming PC which can handle end games at good graphics
My budget is 2000 dollars but I do not require a monitor / keyboard / mouse / speakers / os

I need help because it is my first time doing this and I do not have a clue as to what is compatible with what.

Is 8 gb ram enough ? And will a nvidia gtx 660ti 2gb graphics card be enough to get me through high end gaming for the next few years.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated

To assist you with your concern, we suggest you to run the System Maintenance Troubleshooter to check and see why your PC is running slow and unresponsive. Here are the steps:

• Press Windows Key + X.
• Click on Control Panel.
• Select Troubleshooting. If you cant find the option, click View By and select Large Icons.
• On the left pane, click on View All.
