    My external dvd player is not recognized by windows after the October 2018 update.


    My external dvd player is not recognized by windows after the October 2018 update. I have reinstalled the usb and dvd drivers and run the troubleshooter. If I take me computer back to a recover point before the update windows recognizes my dvd player. What can I do to be able to have the update and have windows recognize my external dvd?

    My external dvd player is not recognized by windows after the October 2018 update.

    DVD player won't play dvd's after an update to Windows 10 in October or November.

    My DVD player worked just fine after updating to 10, but an update to 10 in October or November caused it to stopped recognizing disk.

    There is no conflict in device manager. What did this update do?

    Running an HP with AMD A6 processor.

    Everything was fine until this update.

    Please help!!
